During the first five weeks of this course we will be studying basic tenets of cell structure and the histology of the major tissues types of the human body. This material is necessary background for the remaining segments of this course which will study the manner in which these tissue types are put together to form functioning organs and the manner in which many organs with related functions operate cooperatively to form organ systems.
